ARE YOU UPSET THAT 2K SPORTS DIDN'T MAKE MLB 2K14?

We all know that 2K Sports discontinued it's MLB series in January, which means no 2K Share, no online playing with friends, and most importantly, no 2K14. Not even 2014 Living roster updates from 2K. Well, I've worked for hours to create a 2014 Roster Update for MLB 2K13.
THE SOLUTION TO NO MLB 2K14 IS HERE!
|
If you're like me, you said "Awe Crap!" when you found out that 2K Sports discontinued it's MLB series. That means no 2K Share service, no online playing with friends, and most importantly, no MLB 2K14. Not even Living Roster updates from 2K for the 2014 season.
After just sitting around ranting about 2K Sports, I realized the only reason I wanted 2K14 is because it would have the newest 2014 rosters. I figured I could look online and find rosters that someone created for 2K13 that had the 2014 rosters. But the best thing I found was some crummy roster that was totally screwed up and another one that was very precise, but it was for 2K12. I said to myself, "I'm not wasting my money to get 2K12 just so I could get some stupid roster update." So I decided that I would create my own roster update for MLB 2K13 that has the 2014 rosters. |
I spent a good three hours making the major transactions that occurred before Opening Day 2014, but then I looked and realized that there will still more minor transactions that I had missed (and a couple of major ones two). Three more hours of my time wasted.
And that was just putting players on the right team.
I still had to do lineups and pitching rotations.
Five hours of that.
Then, when I finally got to sit back and enjoy my roster, I realized something: C.C. Sabathia, Ryan Zimmerman, Aramis Ramirez, Bryce Harper, Jose Fernandez, and several other players were injured.
Two hours sending them to the minor leagues (that's what I do since I don't know if there's anyway to put people on the DL) and calling up/signing/trading for their replacements.
Everything went fine for the next couple of months, I made some minor changes a couple of times during the week (mostly changing a player's overall rating based on their recent performance in real life).
Then it came.
The trade deadline.
Three hours in front of the TV editing rosters.
So, I made this trade deadline update, and then I decided to take it over to my friends house and put it on his Xbox. He loved it! But also hated it. He pointed out a couple of transactions I forgot to make or didn't notice. So thanks to him the roster is even better.
Then I realized something. I hadn't changed the player's numbers.
But I said, "I'm not wasting anymore time with this."
So, when you download the roster, you will likely need to edit some player numbers and maybe even some lineups (especially the Mariners and Marlins lineups). Everything else should be almost perfect. NOTE: I don't edit minor league rosters because I don't care about them.
So, after all that was done, I sat back and played a couple games with my wonderful self-updated roster, and then it hit me.
"I did all of this just so that me and my best friend could have an updated 2014 roster? I worked for over 10 hours for 2 people!"
Then I realized, this would be worth doing if a bunch of people were enjoying this updated roster. So, I've created this site so you can download these rosters to use on your Xbox when you play MLB 2K13.
So, you're looking for 2014 rosters for MLB 2K13 on the Xbox 360? You've come to the right place, my friend!
